Isadene Boarding Kennels

Isadene, Cattree Lane (private road), Off Poundlane, North Benfleet, Pitsea / Basildon / North Benfleet / Wickford SS13 2LZ, UK – 01268 726584

Hi there, I've been taking Sadie dog to Isadene kennels for 15 years. They're brilliant! She's never sure she wants to leave there cos she loves it. I can even catch up with her when I'm on holiday. She looks brilliant cos I have her groomed for my return. I recommend Isadene kennels - and cattery too (dads moggy loved it). X

Fantastic facilities and the staff really care for all your dogs while you are away. I love that you can also book grooming or bath before you pick them up. My dog loves going there which is really comforting and reassuring. The staff will also send you photos or videos of your dog so you can see if they are happy. Can't say anymore but they deserve five golden stars xx

Vets4Pets Basildon

Inside Pets at Home, Market Retail Park, High Street, Basildon SS13 3BY, UK – 01268 585700

I was very happy with the service provided by the vet. He was friendly, knowledgeable and considerate. I wasn't too discouraged by the cost of the two blood tests either, at £157. However, I was disgusted at the price of a bottle of liquid Ranitidine (Zantac), £55 is an absolute joke. I can buy it in tablet form at 79p for 12. Needless to say if any treatment is needed in the future, I will not be buying medication from Vets4Pets.

Amazing vet they deal with my difficult cat really well.

PDSA Pet hospital Basildon

The Coco Markus Centre, High Rd, Essex, Basildon SS16 4TG, UK – 01268 555100

It's unlikely that you will be seen at your appointment time, in fact chances are you will wait for around a minimum of around 30 minutes and sometimes even an hour or two, but this is due to there only being 4 vets maximum, working at any one time. There's only a fairly small waiting room so it can be quite hectic, especially if there are a large number of dogs who don't get on, but considering you're getting your animal treated for free or very low cost, by vets who work flat out and often over their normal hours, its not really fair to complain. Considering this hospital covers a really wide area on its own , in a fairly small space unfortunately , so personally I think it gets unfairly complained about, the staff and vets work REALLY hard and do their very best in quite cramped conditions for little or sometimes no thanks, or often quite a bit of abuse and they do it with a smile and a friendly word. A lot of the problems complained about would be solved if only this hospital had the space and ability to expand to a bigger hospital, but that's hardly their fault.

Was busy both times l took my friend and her dog there. Has a fairly big car park but even so parking can be an issue. Vets we saw were busy but friendly Careing and helpful. I would have more faith in PDSA over a vet practice I didn't know specially a chain as lm hearing more and more about vets charging for treatments that the animals don't actually need & more so if they are insured. Please Always ask other pet owners who they use & would recommend.
